Frankfort – Louise Goad Ritchie, age 77, passed away at home Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Mark Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Peaks Mill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 service time on Tuesday.

Mrs. Ritchie was born in Monroe County, Kentucky on December 24, 1939 to the late Dillard and Hazel Arterburn Goad. She was united in marriage to her husband, Charles William Ritchie, who also preceded her in death. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts and retired as a teacher from the Carol and Boone School Systems. She was very involved in Girl Scouts and 4-H Programs. She was an artist and an avid gardener.

She is survived by her children, Craig Coleman Ritchie and Claire Ritchie Shepherd (Jonathan); sister, Naomi Bowen (Max); and grandchildren, Charles and Elijah Shepherd.
