Obituary for
Hobart Clark Hearn
Frankfort – Hobart Clark Hearn, age 87, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017 in Lexington. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Saturday, November 18, 2017 with Pastor Philip Meade officiating assisted by Rev. Jay Padgett. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday.
Mr. Hearn was born in Paris, Kentucky on December 3, 1929 to the late James Graham and Frances Leona Simpson Hearn. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He spent his life working on the farm and early years working in construction and as a State Office Building Superintendent. When he wasn’t on the farm, he enjoyed woodworking. Above all, he was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Perkins Hearn.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Elizabeth Hearn; his son, Stephen Hearn; daughters, Kim (Kevin) Hicks, Cindy (Larry) Roberts, Tommie (Scott) Mitchell, and Dawn (Lance) Stodghill. He was also blessed with 11 grandchildren, Aaron (Michelle), Tyler (Lauren), Jacob (Taylor), Chris (Dawn), Faith, Farrah (Jeremy), Justin (Shelly), Jamie (Andy), Michael (Shannon), Blake (Melissa) and Kayla and 19 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Ryan, Channing, Cody, Hallie, Will, Ethan, Tait, Brooklyn, Braxton, Sawyer, Noah, Michael, Hayden, Audrey, Macey, Shaelynn, Christian, and Kaydence.
Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron, Tyler, Jacob, Chris, Justin, Michael, Blake, and Scott.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 110 Conn Terrace, Lexington, KY 40508.
