Mary Wright (Monroe)
Frankfort – Mary Magdalene Monroe Wright, age 88, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017. Services for Mrs. Wright will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Friday, September 15, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Josh Rucker and Rev. Steve Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Frankfort Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Thursday, September 14, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Wright was born in Frankfort on November 23, 1928, to the late James Elster and Lula Mae Reed Monroe. She was united in marriage to Charles Thomas Wright, who also preceded her in death. She was a retired seamstress for Fruit of the Loom. She was an avid and passionate Bingo player. Above all, she was an extraordinarily faithful, loving, caring, and kind-hearted woman.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Sharon Lee and Debbie Singleton and by her siblings.
She is survived by her son, Russell T. Wright (Jan); daughter, Tamara Semones (David); grandchildren, Jeff Lee (Kim), William Wright (Berna), John Singleton (Beth), and Wilson Rhodes (Sarah); and by her great-granddaughters, Charlotte and Caroline Rhodes. She was also blessed with many wonderful friends.
The family of Mrs. Wright wishes to extend a warm thank you to Bradford Square Nursing Home’s staff and residents, whom she loved so dearly.
