Obituary for Aaron Gene Byrns

Aaron Gene  Byrns
Aaron Gene Byrns, 63, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017, following a brief illness.

Services for Aaron will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Friday, July 14, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will be holding a visitation for friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 13, 2017, from 5:00 pm. until 8:00 p.m.

Aaron was born in Louisville on October 7, 1953, the son of the late Bernard Gene Byrns and Opal Marie Caswell Byrns Hulette. He was the former owner of A+ Sports and touched the lives of many children through coaching. Though he had a love for all sports, his special interests included softball, soccer and basketball. He was currently employed as a Regional Representative for Contemporary Concepts.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 40 years, Kathy Schleifer Byrns; son, Aaron Scott Byrns and wife Stephanie; and daughter. Stacie Byrns Campbell and husband Alvin. He was a devoted “Papaw” to grandsons, Peyton Cole Byrns and Jake Collier Byrns. Aaron is also survived by stepbrother, Adrian Hulette; stepsisters, Lisa Bowman, Saundra Tracy; sisters-in-law, Faun Fishback (Danny), Berry Hammermeister (Ted), Marie Fowler (Rick) and Jhan Wilson (Richard) and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.
