Lawrence Thomas "Shell"  Marshall
Frankfort- Lawrence Thomas “Shell” Marshall, age 93, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home with Dr. Phil Hill officiating. Visitation will be held at Harrod Brothers from 12:00 noon until the service hour. Committal services will take place at Maple View Cemetery in Marion, Kentucky on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Central Time.

Mr. Marshall was born in Kuttawa, Kentucky on February 26, 1924 to the late Lawrence Trimble and Anna Liza Dillingham Marshall. He was united in marriage to his loving wife of 67 years, Carol Clement Vaughan Marshall. He retired from Heil Beauty Supply. He enjoyed playing golf and had a love for music that he expressed as a wonderful organist. He was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church in Paducah, Kentucky for over 60 years. He was an honorable and highly decorated Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in the 14th Air Force in China Burma and India from 1941 - 1945. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star as well as three Presidential Citations. Above all, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Shelley Carol Marshall Mauer (Paul); his granddaughters, Jennifer Carol Mauer and Melissa Mauer Wiard (Drew); and by his great-grandson, Colton Charles Wiard.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Broadway United Methodist Church Organ Fund, 701 Broadway, Paducah, Kentucky 42001.

Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.
