Frankfort – Harold Dennis “Denny” Willoughby, age 58, passed away June 21, 2017. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Thursday, June 29, 2017 with Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Frankfort Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Harrod Brothers from 12:00 noon until service time on Thursday.

Denny was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on August 6, 1958 to the late Harold Eugene Willoughby and Brenda Gayle Griffith Risner. He was united in marriage to his wife Brenda K. Risner Willoughby, of Frankfort. He retired from Millwrights & Carpenters. He was a volunteer firefighter. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid University of Kentucky fan. Amongst all those things, he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Glory Ann Purvis and Christopher Dennis Willoughby; his siblings, Carl Gray, Susie Wooten, Nicole Frazier, and Sandra Risner; his grandchildren, Monica Brooke Hager, Ronnie Lee Thomas, Chairity Faith Burger, Corbin Christopher Willoughby and Kenneth Luke Willoughby; and by his great-grandchildren, Arainna Grace Chadwell, Kayden Michael Lee DeZarn and Braxtyn Allen Lee Patton.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Lee Thomas, Darrel “D.A.” Arnold, Larry Williams, Roy Pardi, Larry “P.J.” Williams, and Glenn Dean. Honorary pallbearer will be Billy Willoughby.

Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.
