Lucy Lee Williams (Thacker)
Lucy Lee Thacker Williams, 77, departed this world February 27, 2017. She was the widow of Smythe Jack Williams. A devoted daughter, sister, wife, and mother, she leaves behind many caring friends and loving family members.
Born October 21, 1939, in Franklin Co. to Isaac Marion and Alice Lee Thacker, she graduated from Bridgeport High School. Married on August 19, 1961, she made her home in Frankfort and she was employed at Farmers Bank & Capital Trust Company retiring in 1993. She loved homemaking, gardening, golf and traveling. She was a member of Buck Run Baptist Church. She faithfully supported her children and grandchildren in all of their academic and sports endeavors. She was dedicated to her extended family and friends often sharing good times amongst the Lee, Tyre, Brooks, and Bryan families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her brother Isaac Marion Thacker lll.
She is survived by her family including her son Smythe Jack Williams ll, his children Rachel, Huntsville, Al. Ethan and Ellen of Frankfort and her son Timothy Paul Williams, his wife Christy and their children Paige and Paiton, all of Mayfield Ky. her sister Sarah and husband Phil Bryan of Murray, Ky. and her brother Steve and his wife Faye Thacker of Frankfort, Ky. and her brother-in-law Riggs Williams and family.
Services for Mrs. Williams will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Keith Felton officiating. Burial will follow at Frankfort Cemetery. Visitation will be at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until service time on Friday.
Active and Honorary pallbearers are her sons and grandchildren, along with Michael Vanhooser, nieces, Lee Bryan McClure and Amy Bryan Watson, nephews, Philip Bryan, Keith Lee, Beth Lee, David and Anne Lee, Allen Lee, Carroll Lee, Barry Lee, Bill and Sue Sykes, Bruce Brooks, Steve Brooks, Don and Shirley Tyre, Richie Tyre, Libby Tyre, Eddie Roberts, Louis Tandy, George Heady, Terri Quarles, Barbara Conway, and Chris Evans.
