Frankfort – Services for Elmer Francis Jones will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2016 at Penn Avenue Baptist Church in Georgetown with Rev. David Smith and Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Georgetown Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from noon until the service hour at 2:00 p.m.

Elmer was born April 7, 1945 and passed away at home Tuesday, November 1, 2016. He retired from the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife and was a member of North Frankfort Baptist Church. Elmer enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wilmer and Leona Francis Jones; siblings, Gene Jones, Randall Jones and Anna Miller; and his first wife, Martha Joyce Cook Jones.

Elmer leaves behind his wife of 16 years, Marketa Ann Patton Jones; son, Jason Jones and wife Theresa; stepson, Kevin Hamilton; a brother, Allen K. Jones (Pat) and two granddaughters, Anna and Alyssa.

Pallbearers will be Tony Tracy, Edward Smith, Jason Jones, Johnny Jones, Kevin Hamilton and Douglas Jones. Honorary bearer will be Gary Toole.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Hospice of the Bluegrass for their kind and compassionate care for Elmer. Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601.
